P 111 :: Principles of Photography

Hey P111 Students,
Class is cancelled today (10/18/11.) We will meet on Thursday - your assignment 2 (the Century) will still be due on Thursday.

 

I have an assignment for you to do at home so that we don't fall behind in class. You need to create a Word document that you can turn in on Thursday.

 

1- Visit a bunch of these photo blogs http://sarahwichlacz.com/courses/p111/resources.php#photoblog

2- You will need to find examples of these compositional ideas:

Follows the Rule of Thirds
Breaks the Rule of Thirds (in a good way)
Unity: Group
Unity: Pattern
Balance: Symmetry
Balance: Asymmetry
plus a Symbol of Fall


3- When you find a good example of a compositional idea in a photo from one of the photo blogs save the link or take a screen shot.

4- Your Word document will be a list of compositional ideas and links or screen shots that illustrate those ideas.
